Assignments
In addition to passing a multiple-choice test based on The Legal Environment unit, a learner will also need to complete an assignment for the other unit(s) they study.

The CILEx Level 2 Award in Legal Studies qualification, a learner will need to complete one assignment from:
- Principles of Criminal Liability.
- Principles of Contract Liability.
- Principles of Negligence.
- Law in the Workplace.
- Civil Litigation.
- Consumer Rights.
- Family Law.
- Wills and Succession.
- Conveyancing.
The CILEx Level 2 Certificate in Legal Studies qualification, a learner will need to complete the Principles of Criminal Liability, Principles of Contract Liability and Principles of Negligence assignments plus one assignment from:
- Law in the Workplace.
- Civil Litigation.
- Consumer Rights.
- Family Law.
- Wills and Succession.
- Conveyancing.
The CILEx Level 2 Diploma in Legal Studies qualification, a learner will need to complete the Principles of Criminal Liability, Principles of Contract Liability and Principles of Negligence assignments plus five assignments from:
- Law in the Workplace.
- Civil Litigation.
- Consumer Rights.
- Family Law.
- Wills and Succession.
- Conveyancing.
A learner is given the opportunity to achieve a Pass, Merit or Distinction in all the assignments.

Multiple-choice Tests
In order for a learner to achieve the full CILEx Level 2 Award/Certificate/Diploma in Legal Studies qualification or the CILEx Level 2/3 Diploma for Legal Secretaries qualification with the Legal Studies option, a multiple-choice test needs to be passed.
The multiple-choice test is on-line and on demand i.e. no specified dates therefore a learner will need to discuss with their tutor when they feel ready to take the test.
Once the learner has agreed on the date for the test, the tutor will register the learner with.
The learner has one hour to answer thirty multiple-choice questions which are based on The Legal Environment unit.
