Introductory Qualifications

If you want to follow a career in the legal sector, why not choose the UK's leading range of introductory legal qualifications?

Level 2 Qualifications

This unit could be considered a suitable starting point if you have not completed qualifications beyond GSCE level, or do not hold the minimum qualifications required for a Level 3 qualification, but still wish to gain a basic understanding of the legal system in England and Wales. The unit can also allow you to progress onto the CILEx route to becoming a lawyer.

The qualifications are divided into units and examined by assignments and a multiple-choice test and are set at approximately GCSE level. The qualifications are delivered by accredited CILEx centres.

Level 3 Qualifications

For more experienced students, or those who have already studied to A’ Level or above, CILEx offers the CILEx Level 3 Certificate in Law and Legal Practice. This provides a short but rounded qualification in Law and Legal Practice. This is a modular course so you can choose from a variety of areas of the law which interest you. You need to complete 5 topics. After that, you may wish to go on to study the first stage of becoming a Chartered Legal Executive lawyer with the CILEx Level 3 Professional Diploma in Law and Practice.
