Which grade in the GHRs may be appropriate for CILEx
members?
Once the first stage of academic training (Level 3 Professional
Diploma in Law and Practice) has been completed, employers can
charge fee earning time at the Grade D fee scale. Once you become a
Chartered Legal Executive, employers can charge the relevant work
carried out at Grade C.
Chartered Legal Executives with four years' PQE in litigation
can charge their time at Grade B, and since 1 October 2014,
Chartered Legal Executives with over eight years' PQE in litigation
can charge their time at Grade A.
