Types of business structures

What are the different types of business structures?

Law firms can be structured in a number of different ways. The traditional structures include sole practices, partnerships, Limited Liability Partnerships (LLP’s) or companies. Partnerships, LLP’s and companies are classed as recognised bodies by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and the Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC).
