Reasonable Adjustments Policy For Work-based Learning Applications

1. CILEX/CILEX Regulation recognise that there are some applicants, by virtue of their disability, for whom standard arrangements for assessment may present an unnecessary barrier. To meet the needs of these applicants, CILEX/CILEX Regulation has in place a reasonable adjustments policy.

2. A reasonable adjustments policy is any action that helps reduce the effects of a disability that places the applicant at a substantial disadvantage in the assessment situation.

3. Disability is defined in the Equality Act 2010 section 6 (1) (a) and (b), this states:

A person (P) has a disability if –

(a) P has a physical or mental impairment, and

(b) the impairment has a substantial and long term adverse effect
