New Head of Corporate Affairs for ILEX

The Institute of Legal Executives (ILEX) has appointed Helen Simpson to the post of Head of Corporate Affairs.

This is a new post within the ILEX Group and she will head the team responsible for corporate governance, including strategic planning for the Institute, business planning the development and implementation of ILEX policy and public affairs and legal executive advice.

Helen (33) comes to ILEX from LawNet, the UK’s leading network of independent law firms where she was Director of Member Services.

Helen, a law graduate of De Montfort University also has an MSc in Information Technology from the University of Warwick. She has previously worked for Equitable Life, the National Business to Business Centre (NB2B), part of the Warwick Manufacturing Group at the University of Warwick and Leicester law firm Bray & Bray.

“I am delighted to be joining the ILEX team,” said Helen. “The legal profession is going through challenging times and ILEX is well placed to meet the opportunities that the future will bring. I am looking forward to developing policies and strategies that will build on past success and continue to take ILEX forward in the future and further enhance the standing of its members within the legal profession.”

Helen takes up her post from the end of September.
