2012 Award season begins for Chartered Legal Executives

Claire Parrott receives awardClaire Parrott has been named as the first Chartered Legal Executive to win an award for excellence.

A glittering ceremony, held last night (1 March 2012), The Manchester Legal Awards 2012 celebrated the cream of Manchester’s legal profession and was organised by the Manchester Law Society and its Media Partner, The Manchester Evening News.

Claire, from Tuckers Solicitors in Manchester, said “I am delighted to be named as Manchester’s Chartered Legal Executive of the year. I love my job and enjoy everything I do and it is an honour to be recognised amongst my peers and colleagues.

“I really am pleased that Chartered Legal Executives have the chance to be recognised in this way. I would urge any of my fellow CILEx members to enter as many awards as they can, we all deserve the recognition.”

President of CILEx, Susan Silver added: “I am really proud of Claire, she’s exceedingly well thought of by her colleagues and peers and this award could not have gone to a better lawyer. It’s people like Claire that are helping to show how good Chartered Legal Executives are at what they do

“Generally Chartered Legal Executives are people whose parents may not have been to uni and we have gained experience while learning and it makes for a well-rounded lawyer.

As president I am pleased that we are recognised by other organisations’ award ceremonies it reflects that people everywhere are really starting to accept and understand who we are.”
