CILEx celebrates International Womens’ Day

It’s International Women’s Day today and so we thought it might be a good time to remind you of some of the achievements of our members.

74% of our members are women and many have created incredibly successful legal careers for themselves.

Take Rachel Palmer for example. Rachel studied vocationally through CILEx and is now Partner & Head of Business Development at Blakemores Solicitors. Or perhaps a good example is CILEx council member Vicky Loughnane who recently took the post of an associate role at Shoosmiths, a top 100 national law firm. Then there’s Barbara Hamilton-Bruce who is Director of Legal Operations at Accident Advice Helpline and a popular legal blogger.

There’s also of course our president Susan Silver, who carried out years of work with the CPS while she studied before graduating as a lawyer through CILEx.

Of course these are just a small example of female Chartered Legal Executives who are turning heads in the legal sector and we could mention many more, but don’t just take our word for it.

Why not read some of the recent articles that have appeared in the media about our members and their achievements.
