Equality and Diversity

Equality and diversity is about the recognition and valuing of difference in its broadest sense.

It is about creating a working culture and practices that recognise, respect, value and harness difference for the benefit of the organisation and the individual.

It is also about creating a fairer society where everyone can participate and has the opportunity to fulfill their potential.

It is backed by the Equality Act 2010 designed to address unfair discrimination based on membership of a particular group.

CILEx is focused and committed to equality and diversity in relation to the members it represents, the staff it employs and its stakeholders. CILEx has published its Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Statement which sets out CILEx Group policy.


CILEx will actively promote equality against the required protected characteristics. CILEx embraces the Equality Act 2010 and will have due regard to advancing equality of opportunity when taking action to achieve its objectives.
