CILEx January 2021 Exam Session
CILEx has been working closely with training providers and exam centres to enable the January 2021 CILEx examinations to proceed with as little disruption as possible. Through discussion and consultation it has become clear that the best course of action to enable centres to be better able to comply with social distancing measures and ease capacity during the exam session, we will be extending the exam session, moving the session from taking place during 1 week to now taking place across 2 weeks in January 2021.
This decision means that the CILEx January 2021 exam session will take place from Monday 18 January until Friday 29 January 2021. We hope that by extending the examination window this will ease intensity and pressure on learners as well as alleviating some of the demands on training providers, allowing them more time to support their learners over a 2-week period.
The decision to extend the examination window will not affect the results release date, this is still scheduled for Friday 26 March.
A fully revised exam timetable is available here https://www.cilex.org.uk/study/information_for_students/exams/exam_timetables.
In addition to the timetable changes, all examinations* whether taken remotely or at an approved exam centre will be delivered electronically. This means that there will be no handwritten examinations in the January 2021 examination session.
We hope that this information provides some clarity, we do understand that there is still much uncertainty across the country and we would like to ask for your understanding and patience as we continually strive to offer the best experience possible for all CILEx learners and members.
