Salary up to £25,000 depending on experience

Our Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Operations Team. You will be required to develop, maintain and provide support services to drive member engagement and retention. You will work with volunteers from regional networks to meet member needs, raise the profile of CILEx and encourage the professional development of members. You will be required to work proactively with all stakeholders to develop and sustain professional relationships to support branch activity.

What we’re looking for

The successful applicant will have good customer service, and experience of legal practice/provision of legal services, or knowledge and experience of membership networks and organisations.

The Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx) is the professional association and governing body for Chartered Legal Executive lawyers, other legal practitioners and paralegals. CILEx provides legal education, training and the development of skills for its members, and those who wish to become more proficient and knowledgeable in law. Our role is to enhance the role and standing of Chartered Legal Executives and all our members within the legal profession.

Trustee: lead on financial matters - The CILEx Foundation 

Closing date Wednesday, 8th January 2019

A formal interview with the existing Trustees will be required date TBC.

The CILEx Foundation is looking for a Trustee to join its Board of Trustees and take responsibility for overseeing its financial affairs.   Day to day running of the charity finances is supported by a dedicated member of the CILEx Finance Team.  

Who we are
The CILEx Foundation is the newly created (2019) charitable arm of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx).

The CILEx Foundation presently has four Trustees. These are exciting times to join us with the opportunity to make a real difference in setting the strategic course for this new venture.

What we're looking for

We are looking for someone with a passion for ensuring high quality delivery of services and a meticulous, strategic and senior experience of financial management and is suitably financially qualified.

In addition to general Trustee responsibilities, the successful applicant will also ideally have a thorough understanding of charity finance and related legal/regulatory requirements.  Your skills and experience will help the CILEx Foundation to deliver against its objectives.

This is a voluntary role for which no remuneration is payable other than out of pocket expenses. Trustee meetings usually take place in London. There is Charity Trustee Liability Insurance in place to cover decisions if acted within role of trustee.
