CILEx and the Judicial Appointments Commission (JAC) have collaborated on two webinars to help you with your application.

CILEx Lawyers are eligible for many posts within the judiciary, ranging from Adjudicator to District Judge.

The 'Be a Judge' webinar takes a general look at the application process. Chaired by Helen Whiteman, CILEx Chief Operating Officer (then Head of Corporate Affairs), you will hear from Upper Tribunal Judge Judith Gleeson and Stuart Burrows, JAC Selection Exercise Manager.

Due to the specialised nature of our qualifications, you may find that your skills are more suited to judging in a Tribunal setting rather than a Magistrates Court.

The 'Judicial Appointments and Life as a Tribunal Judge' webinar once again gives some information on the application process but also gives you some insight into the life of tribunal Judge Hazel Oliver. You will also hear from Stephen Gowland, CILEx Council member and past president, and Carol Morgan, JAC Assistant Director.
