Entry Requirements
Level 3 Certificate and Professional Diploma in Law and
Practice
There are no formal entry requirements for either qualification.
However, the qualifications are at Level 3 of the Qualifications
and Credit Framework (QCF), and CILEx does recommend that students
embarking on a programme of study towards either qualification have
a minimum of four GCSEs at grades C or above (including English
Language or Literature) or equivalent qualifications.
Level 6 Professional Higher Diploma in Law and Practice
You are advised to complete the CILExLevel 3 qualifications
before progressing to the Level 6 Professional Higher Diploma in
Law and Practice.
Non-members taking the subjects from the Level 6 Professional
Higher Diploma in Law and Practice as Single
Subject Certificates should have substantial experience in the
sphere of law relevant to the their chosen subject or
qualifications at GCE A level standard or above. Non-members who do
not meet these criteria are encouraged to study the Level 3
qualifications before taking Single Subject Certificates to
ensure they have the necessary underpinning knowledge and
understanding.
