Level 2 Award/Certificate/Diploma in Legal Studies

Together with
City
& Guilds, CILEx offers an introductory law
qualification. This qualification is ideal if a learner:
- has not studied law before
- has not studied for some
time
- wants to become a Chartered
Legal Executive but does not fulfil the recommended minimum
qualifications to study the Level 3
Certificate in Law and Practice qualification.
The City & Guilds/CILEx Level 2
qualification in Legal Studies has a flexible
approach and allows learners to choose which route to study.
There are three outcomes to this Level 2 qualification:
Level 2 Award in Legal Studies
- QCA accreditation number: 600/5808/0
- Guided learning hours: 62
- Total QCF credit value: 9
Level 2 Certificate in Legal Studies
- QCA accreditation number: 600/5807/9
- Guided learning hours: 129
- Total QCF credit value: 21
Level 2 Diploma in Legal Studies
- QCA accreditation number: 600/5809/2
- Guided learning hours: 213
- Total QCF credit value: 37
Each qualification comprises of units and the learner will need
to complete:
- Unit 201 plus one unit from 202 - 210 for the Award
- Units 201, 202, 203, and 204 plus one unit from 205 -
210 for the Certificate
- Units 201, 202, 203 and 204 plus five units from 205
- 210 for the Diploma.

To achieve any of the above qualifications, the learner will
need to pass an externally set multiple-choice test as well as a series
of assignments.
