Level 3 Certificate/Diploma for Legal Secretaries

The
qualification is aimed at learners who work or want to work as a
senior administrator/secretary and who may already possess a basic
knowledge and understanding of administration but not necessarily
the skills required. It is particularly relevant for those
wanting to develop those skills within the legal sector.
The qualification has a more flexible approach and allows
learners to choose which route to study. There are two
outcomes to this Level 3 qualification:
Level 3 Certificate for Legal Secretaries
- QCA accreditation number: 500/6682/1
- Guided learning hours: 290
- Total QCF credit value: 32
Level 3 Diploma for Legal Secretaries
- QCA accreditation number: 500/6723/0
- Guided learning hours: 360
- Total QCF credit value: 39
Each qualification comprises of units and the learner will need
to complete:
- Units 320/321, 322 and 323 for the Certificate
- Units 320/321, 322, 323 and either 324 or 201 plus one unit
from 202-210 for the Diploma.

There is the option for learners to study the Legal Information
Processing unit on its own and on successful completion,
learners will be awarded the:
Level 3 Award in Legal Information Processing
- QCA accreditation number: 500/6584/1
- Guided learning hours: 70
- Total QCF credit value: 7
To achieve any of the above qualifications, the candidate will
need to pass an externally set proof-reading test as well as a series of
assignments.
