2016/17 CPD Requirements
Undertake CPD activities leading to a minimum
of 9 CPD entries, with at least 1 entry in professionalism.
Log your CPD onto myCILEx by 30 September
All CILEx Advocates must ensure
that 2 of their 9 entries are undertaken in advocacy
Entries can be from planned
or unplanned activities (with a minimum of 5 planned
entries for the year), This

All planned entries should follow the ‘CPD
cycle’: you will need to reflect, plan, act and evaluate.
Evidence will need to be retained for 2 years
to show that you have been through the CPD cycle for each
Unplanned activities will need to be

undertaken the activity in case your record is called for
Your professionalism CPD should be an activity
that maintains or develops your professional knowledge or

September deadline you will need to contact CILEx Regulation,
requesting an extension of time to complete your CPD. This request must be received in writing by 31 August.
