CILEx Regulation is delighted to announce the launch of an exciting new online platform for all CILEx regulated professionals and businesses as well as for consumers and those working with CILEx specialists.

www.regulationmatters.uk shares accessible and clear regulatory advice and support through exclusive features, videos and case studies.

Helen Whiteman, CEO, CILEx Regulation, said: “Regulation Matters was designed with one simple purpose; to communicate a wide range of regulatory issues and information in a simple, accessible way.

“It will provide legal practitioners with easy-to-consume advice, guidance and explanations of core regulatory principles when they are on the move. For consumers, it raises awareness of regulation and signposts them to useful sources of information.

Regulation Matters will be the first stop for monthly guidance, exclusive features and talking-head videos and interviews with CILEx practitioners and key stakeholders in the legal profession.”

Neil Buckley, CEO, Legal Services Board, said: “The provision of better information for consumers and CILEx practitioners is very welcome. I wish CILEx Regulation well in this endeavour.”

Chief Legal Ombudsman Kathryn Stone OBE from the Legal Ombudsman said: “Regulation Matters will make regulatory information more accessible for consumers, which can only be a good thing. That can be from pointing them in the right direction to giving people choices and providing information on making complaints, so the Legal Ombudsman was keen to be involved.

“I’m also impressed at how CILEx Regulation is making a real effort to share important and relevant information among its regulated community of Chartered Legal Executives, CILEx Practitioners and members.”

Legal Services Consumer Panel Chair Jane Martin said: “The Consumer Panel welcomes Regulation Matters. Targeted information is essential for good regulation and this is just the sort of innovation which will build understanding.”
